One class ended today, another will be over at 11.50 tomorrow morning, and then all I have left are two projects due next week.
I moved out of my apartment on Friday and officially in with Mike, only to turn around on Monday and drive right back north. I'm spending this last week of school with a friend and her family who have graciously welcomed me into their home. The trade is that I babysat for her kids last night, and they're the most. Adorable. Babies. Ever. Seriously. The oldest is two, and the twins just turned a year old, I believe. I wish I had my iPhone still so I could take pictures of these beauties. Tonight we danced and made animal noises and encouraged the littlest one to walk across the room.
It's amazing to me that I'm a week away from finishing up my first year of graduate school. So many things have changed in the last year! I'm really excited for the summer: I had an interview for a seasonal sales associate position at Nordstrom that went really well, so I'm hoping that it pans out. I'll be making some trips to California and Alaska, and attending the weddings of a few close friends. A friend who has been my pen pal since our junior year of high school is coming to Washington this weekend, so we'll actually be meeting in person for the first time! And going to the zoo!
The best two things, though, hands down are that my best friends are moving back to Washington, and I get to live with Mike! Huzzah!
The next few months are going to be good, people. I can feel it.
Does that mean you'll get a discount at Nordy's? Amaaaazing. Congrats for almost being done with your first year of grad school! [Insert happy dance here!] Work it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, pen pals rock. I love that you're still in contact!
